Core Days 2022

Fortune Bay Corp. (TSXV:FOR, FWB:5QN) (“Fortune Bay” or the “Company”) recently attended the annual Core Days 2022 conference in La Ronge, Saskatchewan hosted by Northlands College Mine School and Keewatin Community Development Association (“KCDA”).

Northlands College provides high quality education and training programs and services that meet the development and employment needs of Northerners, enhance the social and economic condition, prepare Northerners to participate in the labour market, and help industry meet its labour force needs.

KCDA is a regional non-profit economic and career development agency focused on training, employment, as well as labour market and economic development issues that affect the people of Northern Saskatchewan.

Dale Verran, Fortune Bay’s CEO, provided attendees with a talk about the Company and its Projects, and sponsored the Northern Fish Fry lunch. The Company had an opportunity to outline its development plans for its gold and Athabasca Basin uranium projects located near Uranium City in northern Saskatchewan, and to network with northern students, northern community members, and other industry participants.

The conference was very well attended with numerous other Saskatchewan-based companies present, including SSR Mining Inc., UEX Corporation, Canalaska Uranium Ltd., Eagle Plains Resources Ltd., Murchison Minerals Ltd., Skyharbour Resources Ltd., Baselode Energy Corp. and MAS Gold Corp., to name a few.

The event provided a forum for Northlands College and KCDA to better understand exploration and mining developments in Northern Saskatchewan and how to prepare and equip northern residents to participate in these activities through employment and business opportunities. Fortune Bay recognizes the importance of northern community participation in its activities and was very pleased to support the event.
